Belinda was diagnosed with Diabetes when she was 18 months old, it seems that a red back spider bite may have caused a virus that attacked the insulin producing cells in the pancreas, the islets of langerhans. Since that time she has required the regular injection of insulin balanced out with a fairly strict diet to maintain a healthy blood sugar level in her blood. |
